Chapter 15:

Download Files with Download Station

Download Station is a web-based download application, allowing you to download files from the Internet through
BT, FTP, HTTP, NZB and eMule,

and automatically unzip compressed downloaded files to Synology DiskStation.

With Download Station, you can download files from file hosting sites, and search for torrent files via system
default search engines as well as self-added ones with the BT search function.

This chapter explains how to install Download Station, manage Auto Extract service and download tasks.

Install Download Station

Go to

Main Menu

>

Package Center

to install Download Station.

To install Download Station:

Under the

Available

tab, click

Install

to install the package, and follow the installation steps of “Manage

Packages” on Page 97.

When the installation is complete, the package will be moved to the

Installed

tab and the

Main Menu

will

automatically expand with the package’s thumbnail on it.

To launch Download Station:


