Chapter 12: Share Photos, Videos, and Blogs with Photo Station
If you want to give guests visiting your Photo Station the rights to share your photos to social networks, tick
Allow guests to upload photos to Facebook, Twitter, and Picasa
.
To sync a Photo Station album with Facebook:

Make sure you have completed Facebook authorization (see above).

When you are within an album, choose
More
>
Sync with Facebook
.

In the window that appears, name the new Facebook album, and then click
OK
.

If you want to sync the album immediately, choose
More
>
Sync with Facebook right now
.
Now you can login to Facebook to see the synced album. You can also see synced albums by going to Photo
Station's home page and clicking
Albums synced with Facebook
.
To stop syncing with Facebook:
When you are within a synced album, choose
More
>
Don't sync with Facebook
.
Browse Photos and Videos with Timeline
Browsing photos and videos with Timeline is intuitive and easy. You can navigate the files by scrolling up or down
the mouse wheel to quickly find photos or videos of a specific period of time, and simultaneously view where they
are taken or recorded with Google Maps displayed below.
To enable Timeline:

Go to
Settings
and click the
Photos
tab.

In the
Basic Settings
section, tick
Enable Timeline function
.

Click
Save
.
To configure Timeline settings:

Go to
Timeline
and click
Settings
at the top-left corner.

Do the following to determine how you want your photos or videos to be presented with Timeline:
Click the drop-down menus to choose in what order items are to be displayed on your preferred time scale.
Tick the checkbox to restrict displaying tags on Timeline to people tag only.

Click
Save
to apply the changes.
Manage Tags for Photos
You can tag your photos with people, locations, and descriptions, and manage people tags, geotags, and
descriptive tags with the add, edit, delete, and confirm functions.
To add a people tag, descriptive tag, or geotag, do the following:
Go to the
Photos
page, and select any album to which you want to add tags to enter the thumbnail view. Click
Manage
at the top of the page, and choose
Add descriptive tag
/
Add geotag
. Select the photos you want to
create tags for, and click
Add descriptive tag
/
Add geotag
at the top of the page.
Go to the
Photos
page, select any photo(s) to which you want to add tags within an album. Click
Tag
at the
top of the page, and choose any of the following.
People tag
: Click to drag on photos in which people are present to create tags. In the text field that appears,
enter the name of the person. If there is more than one tag on a photo, you can click
Confirm all people
tags
or
Remove all people tags
to confirm or delete all tags at a time.
Geotag
: Click to specify where the photo was taken by choosing a place suggested by Google Maps from
the
Nearby Places
drop-down menu, below which you can type in more geographic information about the
location.
Descriptive tag
: Click to enter any information you want for the photo.
Face recognition
(unavailable if face recognition is not enabled; see “Perform Face Recognition” on Page
109): Click to have the faces on the photo detected. If there are existing people tags already, you will be
asked whether to delete the tags before the action is performed.
