CYLINDER HEAD

DISASSEMBLY

• Remove the cam chain tensioner

• Remove the engine mounting dumper plate

, thermostat

case

and thermostat

• Remove the intake pipe

• Remove the ECT sensor

and gasket

from the cylinder

head.

• Using the special tools, compress the valve spring and

remove the two cotter halves

from the valve stem.

09916-14510: Valve lifter

09916-14910: Valve lifter attachment

09916-84511: Tweezers

Identify the position of each r emoved part. Organize

the pa rts in th eir re spective gro ups (i .e., in take or

exhaust) so that they can be installed in their original

locations.
