8-36 CHASSIS

MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL AND

DISASSEMBLY

• Place a rag underneath the front brake hose union bolt on the

brake master cylinder to catch any spilled brake fluid.
Remove the front brake hose union bolt and disconnect the
front brake hose.

• Disconnect the front brake switch coupler

• Remove the brake master cylinder assembly

• Remove the front brake lever

and front brake switch

• Remove the reservoir cap

and diaphragm

Immediately a nd c ompletely wi pe o ff an y brake fluid

contacting any p art o f the veh icle. T he brake fluid

reacts chemically with paint, plastics, r ubber materi-

als, etc., and will damage them severely.
