8-54 CHASSIS

• Remove the handlebars

INSPECTION

Inspect the handlebars for distortion or damage. If any defects
are found, replace the handlebars with a new one.

INSTALLATION

Install the handlebars in the reverse order of removal. Pay atten-
tion to the following points:

• Apply adhesive agent to the handlebar right and left end and

right and left grip inner wall.

HANDLE GRIP BOND (commercial available)

• Align the punched mark

on the handlebars with the mating

surface

of handlebar holder.

• First tighten the handlebar upper clamp bolts

to the speci-

fied torque, and then tighten the handlebar upper clamp bolts

to the specified torque.

Handlebar upper clamp bolt:

26 N·m (2.6 kgf-m, 19.0 lb-ft)
