• Remove the cylinder head cover plug

CAMSHAFT AND CAMSHAFT SPROCKET

• Remove the valve timing inspection plug

• Turn the generator rotor until the “TDC” line

on the genera-

tor rotor is aligned with the index mark

of the generator

cover.

NOTE:
At the above condition, the piston is at TDC of compression
stroke and also the engraved lines

on the camshaft is parallel

with the mating surface of the cylinder head cover.

• Flatten the lock washer tongues

and remove the camshaft

sprocket bolts.
