9-22 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

CKP SENSOR PEAK VOLTAGE

• Disconnect the CKP sensor coupler

• Connect the multi-circuit tester with the peak volt adaptor as

follows.

probe: White

probe: Blue

09900-25008: multi-circuit tester set

• Shift the transfer to the neutral position, turn the ignition

switch to the “ON” position.

• Push the starter button and allow the engine to turn for a few

seconds, and then measure the CKP sensor peak voltage.

• Repeat the above procedure a few times and measure the

highest CKP sensor peak voltage.

Tester knob indication: Voltage (

)

CKP sensor peak voltage: 5.0 V and more

NOTE:
After checking the CKP sensor peak voltage, clear the DTC
using SDS tool.

If the peak voltage is lower than the specified valve, check the
continuity between the CKP sensor coupler and ECM coupler.

When us ing the multi-circuit t ester an d peak v olt

adaptor, refer to the appropriate instruction manual.

Normally, u se th e needle po inted p robe to th e back-

side of the lead wire coupler to prevent the terminal

bend and terminal alignment.
