1-10-2. Replacing the PR-249, PR-248 and DA-143 Boards

When opening the side panel during or immediately after use of the unit, be careful as the board panel is
very hot and touching it may result in burns. When opening the side panel to perform inspections and
adjustments, turn off the power and wait 10 minutes for the unit to cool down first.

Refer to Section 1-8 for details on disconnecting/connecting the flexible card wire.
1. Remove the both side panels. (Refer to Section 1-4 in the Installation and Maintenance Manual.)
2. Remove the six screws, and pull out the PR-249 board.
3. Disconnect the flexible card wire from the CN2 connector on the PR-249 board, and remove the PR-
249 board.
4. Disconnect the flexible card wire and a harness connector from the CN3 and CN5 connectors on the
PR-248 board.
5. Remove the two screws. (For BVP-9500WSP only.)
6. Remove the two screws and two supports, and pull out the PR-248 board.
7. Disconnect the flexible card wire from the CN4 connector on the PR-248 board, and remove the PR-
248 board.
8. Remove the two screws and two supports, and remove the DA-143 board.
9. Install the new board in the reverse order of removal.

When replacing the PR-249 board, put off the shield sheet (PR) from the PR-249 board and then put it on
the new PR-249 board.
