Mechanical Installation
Avoiding excessive
overhung loads
Avoid high overhung loads by installing the gear or chain sprocket according to figure
B
if possible.
4.4.3 Mounting of couplings
Adjust the following misalignments according to the coupling manufacturer's specifica-
tions when mounting couplings:
a) Maximum and minimum clearance
b) Axial offset
c) Angular offset

INFORMATION
Mounting is easier if you first apply lubricant to the output element or heat it up briefly
(to 80 - 100 °C).
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to moving drive elements, such as belt pulleys or couplings, during
operation.
Risk of jamming and crushing.
• Cover input and output components with a touch guard.
