Zener Impedance

The Zener Impedance test are standard on the Model 5000E and 5300HX.

Zener impedance is performed by modulating the programmed I

Z

current 10% RMS

at 1 KHz.

The  resultant  1  KHz  voltage  across  the  zener  is  extracted,  amplified  and  filtered  to
obtain the reported measurement.  The measurement is made by sampling the 1KHz
voltage resultant and computing the RMS value.  An exact value is thereby obtained
in a single test application (test time is approximately 14 mSecs).
