Test Operation
The operation of the tester in Go/No-Go mode and Datalog/Measure mode is
different. Refer to the individual tests for complete description of these differences.

COIL
Test
The R
COIL
test measures the coil resistance (1 to 100,000 ohms) of the relay at the
specified V
COIL
voltage (typically the relay nominal operate voltage). Soak time may
be entered if desired.
V
OPER
Test
The V
OPER
test measures the voltage required to operate the relay. The limit entry
specifies the applied voltage to the coil in Go/No-Go mode, whereas in
Datalog/Measure mode specifies the nominal coil voltage. Selections for the relay
form factor and number of poles are provided. For use with the Datalog/Measure
mode, Selections for the voltage steps, time between steps, percentage of Limit for
starting voltage and percentage of limit for ending voltage.
Go/No-Go Test Sequence:
Check that all contacts are in the non-operate position
Drive relay coil to voltage specified in Limit entry
Wait specified Step time
Check that all contacts are in the operate position
Datalog/Measure Sequence:
Check that all contacts are in the non-operate position
Drive coil to the Start Voltage (Limit Entry times the Start Voltage
percentage, e.g.: Limit = 6V, Start Volts = 30%, drive coil to 1.8V)
Wait the specified Step Time
Check to see of all contacts are in the operate position.
Increment the drive voltage by the specified Step Volts and drive the relay
coil
Repeat previous three steps until all contacts are in the operate position or
until the Stop Volts limit is reached
Report the voltage drive when all contacts have switched

REL
Test
The VREL test finds the voltage at which the relay contacts drop back into the non-
operate position. The limit entry specifies the applied voltage after the VOPER
voltage is applied when in the Go/No-Go mode. As with the VOPER test, selections
