MODEL 5000 SERIES MANUAL
Window (see Figure 6-3 thru Figure 6-5). The Curve Trace setup screens are slightly
different for each test based on which entry is the x-axis and whether more than one
curve will be presented (Data Sets).
The first entry (the measured, Y-Axis, dependent value) sets the maximum expected
measurement. If the actual measurement exceeds this maximum then the curve is
completed (note: if there are more data sets, then the next data set is run until the
maximum is exceeded again).
The X-Axis increments are programmable in two gradations to allow for more data
points in the area of interest. In the example shown in Figure 6-6 the VCE is
programmed in 0.2V increments from 0.2V to 3.0V and then in 1.0V increments from
3.0V to 10.0V. Likewise, The VGE can be programmed in two gradations. Again, as
shown in Figure 6-6, the VGE is programmed 0.5V increments for the entire 6.0V to
7.5V range.
The Off Time entry provides a user programmed delay between tests for the device
to cool down (this delay can be from 0 to 1000 milli-seconds).

Note: for the R
DS(ON)
test the I
