EQJW245
Commissioning
Heating limit
If the outdoor temperature is higher than the heating limit, heating operation is
stopped, i.e. the EQJW245 goes into summer mode. As soon as the value falls
back below the heating limit, heating operation is resumed and summer mode is
ended again. To avoid frequent status changes, a hysteresis of 1K is taken into
account in both cases.
The outdoor temperature required for this function can either be measured with
an outdoor temperature sensor or can be received via a connected device bus.
You can select whether the actual measured outside temperature or an outside
temperature that has been averaged with appropriate time constants (see SP42)
is used.
Outside temperature recording for heating limit
You can select whether the EQJW245 uses the current measured outside
temperature or an averaged outside temperature for the heating limit (see SP41).
If SP42 has a value of 0, the current outside temperature is used. If a different
value has been assigned to SP42 (1 to 30), this is the averaging time constant in
hours. This can be used to avoid the infl uence of short-term fl uctuations and
therefore frequent heating system activation and deactivation. The factory setting
for SP42 is 21 hours.
Design temperature
If the current outdoor temperature is lower than the design temperature, the
EQJW245 heating controller no longer switches to reduced mode but remains in
normal mode instead.
Heating 1 heating medium pump after-run factor
At the end of heating operation the heating medium pump is not shut off
immediately, but only after a delay that can be preset using SP44. With a valve
running time of 120 sec. (see SP17), an after-run factor of 2 means an after-run
time of 2 x 120 sec. = 240 sec. (i.e. 4 minutes) for the heating medium pump.
Anti-frost
The anti-frost function becomes active if the outdoor temperature falls below the
anti-frost limit (= +3°C). If the outdoor temperature rises above 4°C again, the
function is terminated. The fl ashing
symbol indicates that the anti-frost
function is active. There is a forced switch-on of the heating medium pump. The
fl ow temperature setpoint of the heating circuit is preset to at least +10 °C The
domestic water temperature is monitored to a minimum temperature of +5°C. If
the temperature drops below this value, the domestic water is charged to +10°C.
Irrespective of the outside temperature, the fl ow temperature is also monitored to
a limit of 5°C. This function can be deactivated with SP45 = 0.
Confi gurable output function
One of the output relays (terminal 11, 12) of the EQJW 45 can be used for
different tasks. The use of the output is defi ned by SP46. Depending on the value
of SP46, the output has the following functionality.
