Switching difference domestic water
If the domestic water temperature in a tank is measured with one or two domestic
water sensors (SP31 = 1,2), tank charging does not start immediately when the
temperature drops below the domestic water setpoint, but is only charged again
when the temperature has dropped below the selected switching difference (e.g.
5K). This prevents a fresh charge having to be carried out shortly after a charge
has fi nished.
Maximum permitted increased domestic water temperature
This SERVice parameter is used to set an upper limit for the increased
temperature for domestic water, which can be set with the lower rotary switch. If
the rotary knob used to set the values is turned further to the right (increase
values) although the upper limit value has already been reached, the display will
automatically show the lowest value, which is increased again.
Setpoint boost for domestic water
The heating temperature must be higher than the desired tank temperature for
the domestic water, otherwise minor temperature losses during heating would
mean that the tank heating never ends. This SERVice parameter specifi es the
amount by which the heating temperature should exceed the desired tank
temperature
Outside temperature – limit for domestic water charging
Depending on the outdoor temperature, the EQJW245 determines whether
heating of the domestic water tank is carried out as a priority - i.e. the heating
medium pump is switched off during heating - or in parallel. If the measured
outdoor temperature is below the limit value set with the help of SP39, parallel
operation of heating and tank heating is implemented. If the outdoor temperature
is higher than this limit value, domestic water heating is implemented with priority.
If value –30°C is set for SP39, parallel operation is generally disabled.
It depends on the control model whether domestic water charging has priority
and (if necessary) over which heating circuits it has priority. The following table
shows which heating circuits domestic water charging has priority over, provided
that the outside temperature conditions are met.

Domestic water preparation is basically only infl uenced by the operating mode of
a heating circuit if its rotary switch is set to automatic mode.
