You can use the Web browser (Internet Explorer) installed on your personal computer to operate the digital video recorder from a remote location.
To do so, you must meet the following operating requirements:
Operating system: Windows XP
CPU: Pentium 4 (3.0 GHz or higher processor)
Memory: 512 Mbytes or more
Video Card: 102×768 (32Bit, Color)
Monitor: 1280×1024
LAN Card: 10/100Mbps, Ethernet
Hard disk drive: 10 Gbytes
DirectX version: 8.1 or higher
Web browser: Internet Explorer Ver.6.0 or later
You can connect your computer to the digital video recorder in the following steps.
Start Internet Explorer.
In the address bar of the Internet Explorer, type the URL of the digital video recorder and press the Enter key.
Following "http://", type the IP address you set on the digital video recorder.
When your computer has been connected to the digital video recorder, the initial screen appears, where you can select the language you want to use.
(The above is an example of entering the address "192.168.0.105.")
Click the radio button corresponding to the preferred language.
Language options: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian
Type the port number of the digital video recorder and click
.
Type the port number you set on the digital video recorder in the [Video/Audio] setting in the [Port] section of the Communication Settings (Default setting: 2302).
The [Login] screen appears.
Select your user name from the pull-down menu of the [User ID] setting, type a valid password in [Password] field, and Click
.
Once you have logged into the system successfully, the Live screen for the specified digital video recorder appears.

To operate the digital video recorder from Internet Explorer, you need to install the "ActiveX control" on your computer.
If this is the first connection attempt, install the “ActiveX control” in advance according to the instructions that appear on the screen.
