The cruise control system enables the driver to keep the
vehicle advancing at a constant speed without depressing
the accelerator pedal.
This is particularly useful for
motorway cruising, or for any journey where a constant
speed can be maintained for a lengthy period.
Cruise Control System Activation
The cruise control system has three switches; two button
switches (master switch and resume/suspend switch) and
one thumbwheel switch. All switches are mounted on the
right hand side of the steering wheel.
1 When the ignition switch is in Position
Ⅱ
, the cruise
control system is in off status. Press the master
switch (1 in figure), the green cruise indicator on the
instrument panel is on, and the cruise system is in
standby status.
2 When the cruise system is in standby status and
the current vehicle speed is more than 45km/h(
vehicle speed range of cruise system operation is
40-200km/h, but the recommended initial activation
speed is more than 45km/h), after you press the
thumbwheel switch (2 in figure), the green indicator
on the instrument panel becomes yellow, and the
cruise system goes into the activated status. The
target speed of the cruise system is the actual speed
in activation operation. After activation, the cruise
