Seats & Restraints
Airbag Deployment
Incorrect sitting posture, sitting on or leaning
against the places close to airbag may lead
to severe or even fatal personal injury when
the airbag is deployed.
To minimize the injuries caused by the
deployed airbags, seat belts must be worn
properly at all times.
Driver and front
passenger must take correct sitting posture
and adjust their seat to leave sufficient
distance from frontal airbags, so as to avoid
serious injury or death caused by deployed
airbags. For vehicles with side airbags or/and
side air curtains, the upper limb must keep
sufficient distance from the vehicle sides, so
as to avoid the injury caused by deployed
airbags.
Deployment of airbags may cause body
surface bruises, body injury or burn due to
explosion, etc.
When airbags are deployed, children without
proper protection may suffer from serious
injury or even death. Do Not carry children
in the arms or on the knees during traveling.
Do Not allow children ride unprotected, and
it is prohibited to stretch any part of the body
out of window.
The inflation passage of the airbag must
be free of any obstructions. Do Not place
any objects between passengers and airbags.
It is prohibited to fix or place any objects
on the steering wheel cover, on or near the
instrument panel frontal airbags cover.
It
is prohibited to place any accessory or trim
around the airbag system.
If there is an
obstacle exist between the passenger and
airbag, the airbag may not inflate properly,
or the airbag will squeeze the obstacle into
the passenger's body, causing serious injury
or even death.
