respectively. The frontal side airbags are fitted in the outer
seatback cushion of the two front seats, while the rear
side airbags are fitted in the outer seatback cushion of
the two rear seats; side air curtains are fitted in the roof
interior trim.
In the corresponding place where airbags are fitted, there
is a warning sign written ‘AIRBAG’.
Airbag Warning Light
The airbag warning light, mounted in the
instrument pack, will remind you any malfunction of the
airbags or/and pre-tensioner. It will illuminate as a system
check warning light when the ignition switch is in position
Ⅱ
and will extinguish after approximately 6 seconds.
If any of the following symptoms occur, the system should
be inspected by an MG Authorised Repairer:
• The warning light fails to illuminate when the ignition is
on.
• The warning light fails to extinguish within
approximately 6 seconds after the ignition is switched
on.
• The warning light illuminates while the car is being
driven.
