Airbag Supplementary Restraint
System
Overview
The
Airbag
provides
ADDITIONAL
protection only in a severe impact.
It is
used to supplement the protection provided
by the seat belt in an accident instead of
replacing it.
Even the vehicle is equipped
with airbags, seat belts still must be worn
properly, otherwise you may suffer from
severe injury or even death in a collision.
The airbags together with the lap-shoulder
seat belts can provide optimum protection
for adults, but it is not the case for infants.
The seat belt and airbag system in the vehicle
are not designed for protecting infants. The
protection required by infants should be
provided by child restraints.
Depending on model configuration, airbag system may
contain the following parts:
• Front Airbags
• Seat Side Airbags (if equipped)
• Side Head Impact Protection Airbags (if equipped)
• Airbag Control Module
This vehicle is equipped with two front airbags for driver
and front passenger, some models be equipped with side
airbags for front seats and side air curtains.
The frontal airbags are fitted in the center part of steering
wheel and the instrument panel above the glovebox
