If another aircraft type than the type selected is accepted into the stand (discrimination
criteria is not met), there is a risk to the normal parking position and stop position
accuracy.

The deviation, “roll-over”, from the normal stopping position is calculated as follows:
Roll-over = (Stopbar Other A/C-to-Stopbar Selected A/C) + (Nose-to-wheel Selected
A/C)
– (Nose-to-wheel Other A/C)
The calculation illustrates the result from a docking procedure, where the aircraft
discrimination criteria does not result in a
STOP/ID FAIL message, as the geometrical
deviation was too small to be detected.
