If a vector length is set, this one is shown in addition to the small AIS symbol vector.
True Motion is activated.
Time vector overlays the
symbol vector.
Relative Motion is activated.
Time vector shows relative
course and symbol vector
true course.
If in AIS Display Menu ‘Show Turn Indicator’ is marked too, a little slash is linked to top of
AIS symbol vector, indicating the direction of course change (turning).
Note:
AIS symbols cannot be acquired and tracked by target tracking function. This only can be
done if the regarding radar echo signal is visible too.

Association of AIS- and Tracked Targets
The set position of AIS symbol refers to radio received NMEA data from the regarding vessel. It may differ to
the shown radar target of same vessel (see last shown image of 'TI OCEANIA'). So it is possible to track both
targets separately as AIS- and as Tracked Target.
To get merging of both, limiting values can be set. If data from both are within set limits, AIS- and tracked
target symbols are overlaid.
To set the necessary limits:
Click downside right, menu button [TGT].
Click the menu head cell, or click [<] or [>]
to select menu ‘Association’.
Now following limit values can be set:
Distance;
from 0.01 to 0.19 NM
Speed Difference:
from1.5 to 9.99kn
Speed Difference:
from 0% to 49%
Set the tick mark to 'Enable TGT Association'.
Additional it is possible to select, which data shall get priority, AIS- or Tracked target data (see chapt. 3.6.5).
