Charts (optional)
RADAR 4600 has an optional chart facility, denoted by RADAR 4600C that allows the display of chart data
under the radar video. Only ENC charts are supported in RADAR 4600C. As the synthetics, the radar image
and charts (with compatible projection and scale) are referenced to the own ship CCRP, and all are aligned
in azimuth, the combined image will match correctly. Only vector charts can be used (RNC - raster charts are
not permitted). Charts may be used in any stabilized presentation mode and provide continuous position
monitoring. Charts are presented without undue compromise to the radar presentation and are based on
IMO A.817, IHO S-52 and appendices.

Chart radar menu
The “
chart radar”
button can be found on the upper left side opening the chart radar menu for the
selection of modes. Display of a chart underneath the radar video can be controlled by choosing from the
chart modes beneath the color settings:
[CHART]

turns chart display on or off (toggle
function)
[CHART BASE]
- displays the SENC chart at a basic level of
information that cannot be removed from the
display
[CHART STD]
- displays the SENC chart at a higher level of
information using the standard definition
[CHART ALL]
- displays all SENC information
