Hardware components

1.4.1

Overview

Since Radar 4600 is a PC-based radar system the hardware components can be divided into transceiver-
related hardware and PC-related hardware. The transceivers & antennas are intended for exposed
application, the other equipment is intended for protected application.

1.4.2

Transceivers & ancillaries

The system supports the following transceivers, antennas & ancillary units:

Sperry

Sperry Marine VisionMaster FT/Bridgemaster E (legacy)
RADAR scanners: X-Band and S-Band

1.4.3

PC and Display types

Different Hatteland PCs and different TFT displays with 23" (16:9) are available.
In either case they comply or override the requirements of CAT1 and CAT2 display-diameters according to
Table 1 and Clause 6 of IEC 62388 Standard.
