Settings for tracked target association
Target association comprises the assignment of different tracks to one target. Positions of tracks may differ
depending on the radar source extracting the information. Position of AIS symbol refers to radio received
NMEA data from the regarding vessel. This may also differ to the shown radar target of same vessel. So it is
possible to track targets separately as AIS- and as different tracked radar target and associate tracks
accordingly.
Click downside right, menu button [TGT].
Click the menu head cell, or click [<] or [>]
to select menu ‘Association’.
Enable target manager [ASO]
Set the tick mark to 'Enable TGT Association'
Limit values can be set for target association:
Distance;
from 0.01 to 0.19 NM
Speed Difference:
from1.5 to 9.99kn
Speed Difference:
from 0% to 49%
Set priority for target association ‘AIS or Tracked Target’
Tracks are indicated as they are received from the radar source that is selected as topmost layer and, if a
track is not visible for the uppermost layer, the next layer (showing that track) is indicated. If tracks are
available in more than one layer, they are associated.
If the user wants to see specific track data from a lower layer, he has to press the button [ASO] and click on
the target unless the desired source is shown.
It appears in blue colour then for 30 seconds and next layer is shown for that target. Clicking again switches
to the next layer and so on. After the lowest layer, the uppermost layer is indicated again for that track.
Due
to the data processing described above, please note, that track ID may change, when doing so; and if
a track is not available in a layer due to blanking, it is skipped.
