Mailbox
In the Select Components area of the pane, selectable Mailboxes appear. Clicking the expand/collapse
button causes an element expansion.

Field/Button Icon Operation Description
Volser Select The volume serial number, a cartridge name. Each cartridge
has one volser. The optical disks are represented with two
cartridges because each optical disk has two volsers.
Media Type Select Cartridge media type. Refer to Media Types on page 263.
State Select A cartridge state, empty means stored . Refer to Cartridge
State on page 84 for the details.
Import Click Transfer the cartridge from mailbox slot to a storage area. The
target slot is a cartridge home position.
The button is enabled for a cartridge stored in a mailbox.
Export Click Disabled for a mailbox.
Mount Click Insert a cartridge into the first available tape drive of the
appropriate media type (
Generic Mount ).
The button is enabled for a stored cartridge.
Dismount Click Disabled for a mailbox.
