Switching hysteresis:
10
An object approaching axially the LMA/B generates a switching impulse at a distance of 1000 mm. If
the object gets nearer to the LMA/B, output Q1 will switch off at 490 mm distance
– and not at 500 mm
- since a hysteresis value of 10 mm has been entered. If the object now moves away from the LMA/B,
output Q1 will switch on again at 500 mm, and deactivate at 1010 mm, again because of 10 mm
switching hysteresis.
In short:
Output Q1 switches on when distance gets higher than 500 mm or lower than 1000; it switches off
when distance falls under 490 mm or overruns 1010 mm.
Output
Output behavior for Q1, Q2 and Q3 can be selected in the box
Output
n.o.:
when this output is actuated (distance value is within the measuring window) contact
closes and voltage is available on the output. When it is inactive, there is no voltage on the
output.
n.c.:
when this output is actuated (distance value is within the measuring window), contact
opens and there is no voltage on the output. In inactive condition, operating voltage is
available on the output.
18.4 Analog Output
The distance value of the LMA/B to the target is given as a 0/4
– 20 mA analog signal on the (QA)
output. The distance range in which analog output will react can be freely set. Parameterization of the
analog output has no impact on the switching outputs behavior.
Which box should be assigned the beginning and the end can be freely determined. This allows also
for reversal of the analog output signal. Distance values lying outside the measuring window have no
impact on the analog output. Values can be entered manually, or through the teach procedure which
will set the distance of the object in front of the sensor as start value or end value.
Teach 20 mA
By clicking the button
Teach 20 mA
you can define an object lying within the detection range of the
sensor as the 20 mA value for analog output.
