15.6 Requirements at the Place of Use
The LMA/B should be installed by qualified staff.

15.7 Assembly
It is recommended that the mounting surface (1) of the optional HM2
swivel stand be secured to a stable structure, using minimum 2x M10
screws. In order to fix the LMA/B, loosen the M10 x 25 mm screws (2) and
remove them together with the plate (5). Insert the sensor mounting
flange between the mobile shaft of the swivel stand and the plate (5); the
plate (5) prevents the mounting flange of the sensor from moving and
misaligning while screw (2) is being fastened.
15.8 Alignment
A mounted sensor can be tilted and rotated for alignment after loosening the two M10 screws (2 e 3)
as well as the securing screws (4). At this condition the shaft can be fully rotated and pulled out, thus
allowing for additional adjustment of the sensor in the height. Activate the LASER pilot light and rotate
and tilt the LMA/B on the swivel stand until the laser light is correctly aligned on the object to be
measured. Fix this position by tightening the two M10 screws (2 and 3) and secure them with the two
appropriate M5 and M6 screws (4). Note: The laser pilot light does not represent the real dimension of
the detection area of the sensor but rather its centre.
15.9 Connecting cable
Lay the connecting cable so that the minimum bending radius

is equaled or exceeded and the
maximum permissible ambient temperature is not exceeded. At installation sites involving heavy
mechanical and thermal stresses, the use of a protective cable conduit is recommended (see
accessories cable protective hose).

A G 3/4“ thread is available on sensor LMA/B to screw on a Proxitron cable protection set; this is
offered in a variety of combinations.
