Parameter Offset example
Teach Offset
The
Teach Offset
function allows you to define an object lying within the sensor detection range as
the zero point for distance measurement. Value will be displayed in the Offset box in mm.
Averaging
This setting defines the number of single measurements which are taken to produce an average
measurement value. This value has an impact of the sensor transmission speed. The higher the
number of single measurements to be gathered, the higher will also be the min. possible measuring
interval value.
Values between 2 and 100 can be set (0=average value production inactive).
Measuring interval
This setting determines the measuring interval for the LMA/B, i.e. the time before a new measurement
value is transmitted. Enter 0 for an automatic definition of the measuring interval.
How long a measurement really takes, depends on object reflectivity and on the environment and
operating conditions. If measuring interval is set too short for successful measurement, an error
message will be displayed (see 17.2 and 8.2).
Possible values for this setting: between 100 and 86000000 ms.
Transmission Frequency
The average value and the measuring interval value determine the frequency for the transmission of a
measurement value to the output.
Example 1
Measuring interval 100 ms and averaging 0 = Transmission frequency 10 Hz
Example 2
Measuring interval 100 ms and averaging 5 = Transmission frequency 2 Hz
Measurement mode
This setting determines the operating mode for LMA/B.
Continuous measurement
The sensor measures continuously.
