Using the component video jacks
Com p onent video should delive r su p e r io r p ictu r e quality when com p a r ed to com p osite video. A
fu r the r advantage (if you r sou r ce and TV a r e both com p atible) is pr og r essive-scan video, which
delive r s a ve r y stable, flicke r -f r ee p ictu r e. See the manuals that came with you r TV and sou r ce
com p onent to check whethe r they a r e com p atible with pr og r essive-scan video.

• If you connect any sou r ce com p onent to
the r eceive r using a com p onent video
in p ut, you must also have you r TV
connected to this r eceive r ’s

1 Connect the component video outputs of
your source to a set of component video
inputs on this receiver.
Use a th r ee-way com p onent video cable fo r the
connection.
2 If necessary, assign the component video
inputs to the input source you’ve connected.
This only needs to be done if you didn’t connect

r ding to the following defaults:
