How to do the “ENGINE RUNNING TEST” Operation 17-11
Before this test is done, check first for faults codes, see Operation 17-1, and do the “ENGINE OFF TESTS”,
see Operation 17-10. This will assist with fault diagnosis.
“ENGINE RUNNING TESTS” consists of three tests:

“STANDARD TEST”
l
“INJECTOR TEST”
l
“WIGGLE TEST”.
Note: These tests must be done in the sequence that follows.
“STANDARD TEST”
1 Start the engine, and run it until the normal temperature of operation is obtained.
2 Move through the program until “ENGINE RUNNING TESTS” shows in the display, see Operation 17-4.
