If ON status of the alarm indicator (controller red indicator) or alarm output
continues, check the following.
Also refer to
"Chapter 7 Troubleshooting"
.
<Alarm ON is continued and recovery cannot be made at all>
Loosening or disconnection of the sensor head cable (extension cable)
Check if the workpiece position is out of the measuring range. (Abno r-
mal measurement value)
[Action]
Set the distance between the sensor head and the workpiece
to 50 mm.
<Alarm ON/OFF is repeated>
Check if the workpiece surface status (reflection rate) is not
changed.(Excessive/insufficient detected light intensity)
→ At a surface close to the black surface or mirror surface, sensitiv-
ity may be insufficient.
[Action]
Adjust sensitivity so that the measurement conditions may
be the optimum.
Check if the workpiece installation status (surface slope) is not
changed.(Insufficient detected light intensity)
→ When slope of the workpiece is large, sensitivity is insufficient.
[Action]
Reduce slope variation and adjust sensitivity according to
the slope.
Check if there is strong noise source around the area. (Communicat ion
error between head controller)
→ Data communication of the cable may be affected.
[Action]
Action by noise reduction, confirmation of grounding, noise
filter, etc.
4-6-3
Condition for Unfixed Output Data
When
"SEND"
is executed or image is acquired by changing the setting con-
ditions on the HL-D3SMI, the measurement is temporarily stopped and start-
ed again. Immediately after restart, the measurement data is unfixed during
the sampling cycle x average number of movements (*1). The measurement
value is fixed (999.999 mm) and the all judgment outputs (HI/GO/LO of
OUT1 to OUT3) are OFF.
When the laser is OFF, unfixed status also occurs. Immediately after laser ON,
unfixed status continues for the sampling cycle x average number of move-
ments (*1).
*1: In the external synchronous mode, the output data is unfixed for the p e-
riod of the external trigger input of (number of moving a 1) times.
