Chapter 4 Description of Functions

4
Err. value rmvl lvl.
It is the function to consider displacement data, as abnormal value based on
the adjacent data, which is generated due to disturbance light or secondary
reflection, to eliminate it and to convert it to the alarm value (defect). This
may consider a workpiece with sharp change of irregularity as abnormal.
Change the value as necessary.
Settings
Description
0
Eliminates the point apart from 10 peripheral points.
1
Eliminates the point (small difference) apart from 4
adjacent points.
2
Eliminates the point (large difference) apart from 4
adjacent points.
3 (default value)
Eliminates the point (small difference) apart from 2
adjacent points.
4
Eliminates the point (large difference) apart from 2
adjacent points.
5
Not eliminated (Follows sharp change of irregularity).
6
Spare (equivalent to 0)
When "0" or "6" is selected in the error value removal level, "width smoot h-
ing" of "head settings" is invalid (none).
Defect processing
For the non-measurement areas that cannot be eliminated in the error value
removal level, whether or not the measurement data is interpolated in the
sensor as the abnormal displacement waveform is selected.
Error value pro-
cessing method
Setting range
All-pt. defect interp.
Connects points with straight lines after eliminating
points with abnormal values.
No interp.
Sets points with abnormal values to +999.999 to serve
as an alarm.
1-pt. defect interp.
(default value)
If an abnormal value occurs at one point and it is not
continuous, eliminate one point and perform
straight-line interpolation with the adjacent data.
1-point defect interpolation processing
