Appendix — Installing optional accessories

If the slot cover is difficult to remove, insert the tip of a straight slot screwdriver between the right and left edges of the slot cover and
the rear surface of the device to remove.
2) Install the interface board to the device. (Fig. 2)

Insert the interface board along the grooves of the empty slot, press the bracket, and push the board in until fully and securely
inserted.
3) Secure the interface board. (Fig. 3)

Tighten to secure with the two screws with toothed lock washers removed in Step
1)
.
Attention
f
The removed slot cover will be required when removing an interface board that is no longer needed. Store it for installation at a later date.
Removing the interface board
1) Remove the interface board.
f
Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to turn the two screws with toothed lock washers securing the interface board counterclockwise and
remove. The removed screws with toothed lock washers will be used to secure the slot cover.
f
If the interface board is difficult to remove, insert the tip of a straight slot screwdriver between the right and left edges of the bracket
and the rear surface of the device to remove.
2) Attach the slot cover.

Attach the stored slot cover, and tighten to secure with the two screws with toothed lock washers removed in Step
1)
.

To replace with another interface board, follow the procedure in “Installing the interface board”.

Make sure to attach a slot cover to empty slots.
f
Place the removed interface board in an antistatic bag to store.
Attaching the POWER SUPPLY

1) Remove the cover for the POWER SUPPLY attachment section. (Fig. 1)

Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to turn the screw with toothed lock washer (x 1) securing the cover for the POWER SUPPLY
attachment section counterclockwise, and slowly open and remove the cover in the direction of the arrow.
2) Carefully insert the new POWER SUPPLY to the insertion position. (Fig. 2)

Make sure that the <POWER> switch of the new POWER SUPPLY is on the <
h
> side before installing.
f
Insert the POWER SUPPLY fully and securely.
3) Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to securely tighten the POWER SUPPLY fixing screw (x 1). (Fig. 3)
4) Attach the power cord provided with the POWER SUPPLY to the <AC IN> terminal.

The removed screw with toothed lock washer and the cover for the POWER SUPPLY attachment section will be required when removing
the POWER SUPPLY that is no longer needed. Store it for installation at a later date.
