Switching on/off the device
Connecting the power cord
Use the supplied power cord and make sure that it is securely fixed to the device to prevent it from being removed easily.
Confirm that the <POWER> switch of the device is on the <
h
> side before connecting the power cord. For details on power cord handling,
refer to “Read this first!” (
x
page 2).
Attaching the power cord
1) Check the shape of the power cord connector and the <AC IN> terminal at the back of the device, and
plug the connector securely in the correct direction.
Removing the power cord

2) Remove the power cord connector from the <AC IN> terminal on the rear of the device.

The power indicator <BUSY (R)/ON (G)> will light in red, and after a while, will light in green.
Note
f
When installing the optional POWER SUPPLY to form a 2–POWER SUPPLY configuration, turn on both POWER SUPPLY units.
f
When the power indicator <BUSY (R)/ON (G)> is red, it means that the device is performing an internal check. When the indicator turns
green, start the control software on the control computer that is connected to the device.
f
More you attach interface boards, longer it takes to change the power indicator <BUSY (R)/ON (G)> in green. It will take approximately three
minutes.
When there is a problem with the CPU board or interface board, the power indicator <BUSY (R)/ON (G)> stays red. When it does not turn
green even after a while, turn off the device, then turn it on again.
If the problem persists, consult your dealer.
f
The device’s cooling fans (in the air intake/exhaust ports) will spin at maximum speed a short while after the device is turned on. This is not
a malfunction.
