Attention
f
When using this device by connecting with displays (projector or flat panel display) through DIGITAL LINK connection, set the setup menu
“DIGITAL LINK MODE” to “DIGITAL LINK”. When it is set to something other than “DIGITAL LINK”, there might be a delay before images of
DIGITAL LINK input will appear.
Setup procedure of the display is as follows. Menu names may differ depending on the model of the display.
g
Projector setup procedure
Set “DIGITAL LINK MODE” of the “NETWORK” menu to “DIGITAL LINK”.
g
Flat panel display setup procedure
Set “DIGITAL LINK mode” of the “Setup” menu
→
“Network Setup” to “DIGITAL LINK”.
f
Ask a qualified technician or your dealer to laying the cable for DIGITAL LINK connection. Image and sound may be disrupted if cable
transmission characteristics cannot be obtained due to inadequate wiring.
f
For DIGITAL LINK connection, use a LAN cable that conforms with the following conditions.
g
Compatible with the CAT5e or a higher standard
g
Shielded type (including connectors)
g
Straight wire connection
g
Single wire
f
When laying the cable for DIGITAL LINK connection, confirm that the cable specification satisfies the characteristics of CAT5e or higher by
using a cable tester or a cable analyzer.
When a relay connector is used midway, include it in the measurement.
f
Do not use a hub on the DIGITAL LINK connection path between the device and DIGITAL LINK-compatible display (projector or flat panel
display), and between the device and a twisted-pair-cable transmitter (receiver).
f
When connecting the device to the display (projector or flat panel display) using a twisted-pair-cable transmitter (receiver) of other
manufacturer, do not place another twisted-pair-cable transmitter between the twisted-pair-cable transmitter of other manufacturer and
DIGITAL LINK-compatible display. This may cause image and sound to be disrupted.
f
Do not pull the cable with a strong force. In addition, do not bend or fold forcedly.
f
To reduce the effects of noise, stretch out the cable for DIGITAL LINK connection without any loops.
f
Lay the cable for DIGITAL LINK connection away from other cables, particularly power cables.
f
When laying multiple cables, run them side by side along the shortest distance possible without bundling them together.
