Connecting the Connector to the Board
Connect the connector on the communications cable to the connector on the
Board using the following procedure.
1,2,3...
1. Connect the connector on the communications cable to the connector on
the Board as shown below.
2. Secure the connector to the Board by tightening the screws on the connec-
tor. The appropriate tightening torque is 0.2 N·m.
Note
1. If the connector is disconnected, communications for the Board that was
disconnected with other nodes in the network will be disabled and the net-
work will be split into two at point of disconnection. Utmost care is neces-
sary to prevent disconnection of a connector during communications.
2. Do not pull on a communication cable.
3. When bending a communications cable, allow 60 mm or more for the
bending radius (R).
4. Do not place heavy objects on the communications cable.
