B.3.1 Recording Presets
The following gives the steps used to record current set-ups as Presets. These steps can also be
used to update the configuration recorded as a particular Preset.
Recording Presets
To save the current window details as a Preset:
1.
Display the window, the details of which you want to record as a Preset.
2.
In the Presets Toolbar, click and hold the number under which you want to record the Preset.
Note:
(i) To call up the Preset Toolbar from the Generator window, click on the
Presets
button in the right-hand panel.
(ii) The details of any Preset previously assigned to this Preset
number will be overwritten and in general cannot be restored.
(Factory Presets will be restored (and other Presets lost) if a
‘Factory Reset’ is carried out as described in Section B.2.)

A dialogue similar to the one shown above will appear:

Set a suitable description as the
Name
for the Preset, then select
OK
.
The purpose of this name is to aid identification. It is shown briefly at the top of the display when
the mouse pointer hovers over the Preset e.g. before the Preset is selected.
B.3.2 Preset Selection
Any Preset that has been set up (together with any ‘Factory’ Presets that are still in use) may be
called up by number using the Presets Toolbar in the right-hand panel of the relevant display.
To select a Preset by Number:
1.
Display the window in which you want to use the chosen Preset.
2.
Click on the number of the required Preset in the Preset Toolbar.
Note:
To call up the Preset Toolbar from the Generator window, click on the
Presets
button in the right-hand panel.
B.3.3 Changing the Name of a Preset
The description associated with any Preset can be modified at any time as follows:
To change the Name of a Preset:
1.
Select the Preset as described above. This will make it your current set-up.
2.
Use the steps given in Section B.3.1 to save this set-up under the same Preset number.
3.
When the dialogue is displayed, replace the name shown by the new name.
