X.2 Resizing Images
Where the selected output video standard differs from the video standard for which the selected pattern
was created, then to fit the image to the output video standard, the image may need to be resized either
horizontally or vertically or both.
The various re-sizing options are offered through a
Resize Type
option included in the lower Storage
part of the right-hand panel. The associated drop down menu offers the following options:
Fit horizontal
i.e. the width is to be adjusted to fit the selected output standard
Fit vertical
i.e. the height is to be adjusted to fit the selected output standard
Fit horizontal & vertical
i.e. both the width and the height are to be adjusted to fit the selected
output standard
None
i.e. no re-sizing
If it is important to maintain the aspect ratio, the
None
option should be taken.
To re-size an image to fit the current output video standard:
1.
Click on the thumbnail for the test pattern.
2.
Select the required re-sizing from the drop down menu associated with the
Resize type
option.

X.3 Luma/Chroma Adjustments
While the majority of image files use the standard encoding for the type of file, there are some
variations. To cater for these, the
Ultra
allows you to:
Switch the interpretation of the component colour values between
Full range
and scaled
to
SMPTE range
set
Modify the gamma value used in interpreting this data
