3. Connect the CT to the
CT Analyzer
as described in chapter 2.
– Make sure that the red LED on the
CT Analyzer
is off.
– Refer to section 2.4.1 on page 24 for detailed information on how to
connect the
CT Analyzer
. The wiring for the residual magnetism
measurement is identical to the wiring for the CT test.
– Be sure that the polarity of all wires is correct.
– You can display the connection diagram by pressing the
key while
the wiring check message is displayed.

4. Start the test by pressing the
key.

If the burden test is enabled
, the test halts and the
CT Analyzer
displays a
corresponding message, asking you to check the wiring for the burden test.
Connect the burden and run the burden test as described in section 4.3,
steps 2. & 3. on page 52.
6. After the burden measurement is finished, the test halts to allow rewiring for
the residual magnetism measurement. Make sure that the red LED on the
CT Analyzer
is off and reconnect the CT as described in step 3 above.
7. Continue testing by pressing the
Start Test
soft key.
8. The
CT Analyzer
runs the residual magnetism measurement.
9.
If the primary resistance measurement is enabled
, the test halts and the
CT Analyzer
displays a corresponding message, asking you to check the
wiring for the test. Connect the
CT Analyzer
and run the primary winding
resistance measurement as described in section 4.3, steps 4. & 5. on
page 53.
10.After the primary resistance measurement is finished, the test halts to allow
rewiring for the CT test. Connect the
CT Analyzer
and run the CT test as
described in section 4.3, steps 6. to 11. on page 54.

Warning:
Do not touch the equipment under test or the measurement leads
while the red LED on the
CT Analyzer
is flashing. Never connect or disconnect
measurement leads while the red LED on the
CT Analyzer
is flashing.
As long as the red LED is flashing, the output is active and lethal voltages can
occur due to the high energy stored in external inductors.
