[54] Underlay Board with Media
How to Prepare the Underlay Board
1.
Seal the edges of the underlay board with tape or use a liquid sealer to prevent
vacuum leaks through the edges of the board.
2.
Cover any area of the board not covered by the media to avoid vacuum loss.
Tips On How to Use the Underlay Board:
1.
Use scrap pieces of media to cover any exposed area of the underlay board that the
carriage will travel over. This prevents the board from lifting off the table and
colliding with the carriage.
2.
It may be necessary to bleed the vacuum by opening, or partially opening an
additional vacuum zone to reduce dimple artifacts.
3.
Confirm that the underlay thickness is added to the media thickness and set correctly.
