When phonebook editing is interrupted

You can restart the phonebook editing which was interrupted by a low-voltage alarm sound, etc.
When you are re-editing an entry, if you cancel editing without storing the changes, the data
being edited is erased.

To store a new entry

” character (full-pitch, lower case) in a name for the FOMA terminal (Phone), the reading will be displayed as “

(half-pitch, upper case). Symbols not all symbols and pictographs are not represented in the reading.

Phonebook entries stored using symbols or pictographs may not be displayed correctly when data are transferred by the infrared
communication, etc.

Enter the correct domain when storing e-mail addresses. The domain is the part of the address that follows the “@” symbol. However,
if the contact’s e-mail address is in the “[phone number]@docomo.ne.jp” format, store just the phone number as the e-mail address.
z
If you store an image or “Chara-den” character in a phonebook entry and then modify or delete the original image or “Chara-den”
character, the image or “Chara-den” character in the phonebook entry is also modified or deleted.
z
To display the stored image when you receive a call, set “Disp. PH-book image” to “ON”.
z
When you store multiple phone numbers or mail addresses, you can store the highlighted phone number/mail address as the first
phone number/mail address of the entry by selecting “Move to top” from the function name.
z
You can store the phonebook data attached to the received i-mode mail on the FOMA terminal (Phone), the FOMA card (UIM) or the
microSD memory card.

The priority order for Chara-den settings is as follows:

Chara-den set in the discern connect
②
Chara-den set in the discern group
③
Chara-den stored in the phonebook entry
④

When data being edited is stored temporarily, only the most recent entry is stored.
z
If you receive a voice or videophone call while editing the phonebook, you can leave the phonebook entry being edited and answer the
call.
When a voice or videophone call ends, the original edit screen reappears.

It is recommended to back up the contents of stored “Phonebook” data by taking a note or saving to a microSD memory card
separately. You can use DoCoMo keitai datalink and the FOMA USB Cable (optional) to back up the phonebook data onto your PC.

Stored information can also be lost as a result of faults, repairs, modification or other handling of the FOMA terminal. If you wish to
copy the stored information onto a new model at an authorized NTT DoCoMo facility such as a DoCoMo shop, it may not be possible
to copy the data stored on the FOMA terminal depending on the specifications of the new model.
Note that NTT DoCoMo accepts no liability whatsoever for the loss of data such as stored phonebook entries.
