■ Trial service
The free trial service for “Basic channel” is
available for a certain period for the subscriber to
the i-mode who is using an i-channel compatible
terminal and have not been subscribed to the
i-channel service before. Note that packet
communication charges apply for viewing detailed
information from the channel list.

● Ticker on the standby screen/indicator
display
If you have subscribed to i-channel, the information
is displayed on the standby screen or indicator
display as a ticker when the information is received.
● The “ ” icon flashes during receiving i-channel
information.
● You can set the ticker display with “i-Channel setting”.

Some channels for “Favorite channel” may require you to
provide additional information fee.

Some channels for “Favorite channel” may require you to
submit an application to IP (information service provider)
which provides the channels separately before using the site.

Packet communication charges for viewing detailed
information for both “Basic channel” and “Favorite channel”
from the channel list are not included in the i-channel service
fees.

The trial service is launched automatically after a certain
period from the time you insert the FOMA card (UIM) to
use i-channel compatible terminal. If the trial service is not
launched automatically, you can launch it by pressing

You can use the trial service one time per one subscription.

The trial service is expired automatically after a certain
period. For information on operations to cancel the service
before the due date, refer to the “Mobile Phone User’s Guide
