Fields
Field Description
ISDN Link Usage Select how the router uses the two ISDN B channels. Select from:
•
One B Channel Only – Select this option to have the router use only one B
channel, regardless of the traffic.
• Two B Channels Only When Needed – Select this option to have the router
initiate a connection with one B channel, and bring up the other B channel only if
the traffic increases beyond the capacity of the first B channel.
• Always two B Channels – Select this option to have the router always use both
B channels, regardless of traffic.
Upper utilization
threshold % Enter the percentage of bandwidth that must be in use before the router initiates the
second B channel call. We recommend that you use the default value of 85%.
This field is displayed when you set ISDN Link Usage to Two B Channels Only
When Needed.
Lower utilization
threshold % Enter the percentage of bandwidth below which the router disconnects the second
B channel call. We recommend that you use the default value of 45%.
This field is displayed when you set ISDN Link Usage to Two B Channels Only
When Needed.
2nd Channel Remote
Phone Number Enter the remote phone number of the second B channel. If you leave this field
blank, the first remote phone number is used.
2nd Channel Caller ID
Number Enter the caller ID phone number you want to authenticate for the second Multilink
channel.
This field is displayed when you set Caller ID Authen. to Yes in the previous dialog
box.
