Configuring a Speed Dial Number
You can configure the BayStack 820 ISDN Router for speed dialing numbers for
standard ISDN voice calls. Instead of dialing a long string of digits from the
keypad, you can dial, for example, three digits followed by a “#” that are
translated to the long dial string to be sent to the central office (CO) of your ISDN
or telephone service provider.

Ringing Cadence
Select a ringing pattern for the connected devices. Select from Pattern 1 or Pattern
2. The ringing cadence you select applies to both voice ports.
Select Voice Port
Select the voice port you want to configure. Select from A or B.
Voice Port Extension
Number
Enter the 1- to 8-digit extension number for this voice port. You cannot enter an
extension number that begins with zero.
Associate This Port
with This Directory
Number
Select the Directory Number that rings this voice port.
Ring This Port When
A Call Is Received On
Select which Directory Number a voice call rings on the selected port.
If you want the device to ring regardless of which Directory Number is called, select
the Any check box. The Any option overrides all other check boxes and the port
rings for any incoming voice call. If you do not select a check box, the device
connected to this voice port rings only if a voice call is received with a “sub-address”
matching the extension number of this port. (Be sure to enter an extension number.)
On Outbound Calls,
include Caller ID
Select which Directory Number to send as the caller ID number for outgoing voice
calls. To block both numbers, enable the Withhold Caller ID option.
Withhold Caller ID
Select the Yes check box to withhold caller ID for calls placed from this port.
Disable Call Waiting
Select the Yes check box to disable call waiting for this voice port.
