Resetting the Router to Factory Default Conditions
If you forget the BayStack 820 ISDN Router Manager password, you can return
the router to its factory default condition, including restoring the default

When you reset the router to factory default conditions, you clear all system
configurations and must reenter all of your configuration data. Backing up your
unit configuration on a regular basis can help make reconfiguration easier. For

Chapter 10, “Using the Command Line Interface

Caution:
Anyone with access to the router and a null modem cable can
perform this procedure and seriously compromise security on your network.
Make sure that physical access to the router is consistent with your security
requirements.
