Configuring a VPN Tunnel
To set up access to and from a remote site, be sure to configure both ends of the
VPN tunnel—both the remote router and the local router—appropriately.
To configure a VPN tunnel:
1.
Choose Configuration > WAN Interfaces > VPN Tunnel.
2.
Do one of the following:
•
If you configured at least one VPN tunnel, the VPN Tunnel Summary
dialog box
(Figure 4-7)
opens. Proceed with Step
3

•
If you are configuring the first VPN Tunnel, the VPN Tunnel
Configuration dialog box
(Figure 4-8)
opens. Proceed with Step

Note:
When communicating with a remote office, the private IP addresses
must be different on both ends of the connection. For details, refer to
“Configuring Advanced IP Settings” on page 9-1
