Connecting the BayStack 820 ISDN Router to a Hub
The included 10BASE-T LAN cable is a straight-through cable used to connect a
workstation to an Ethernet port. By default, all four of the Ethernet ports on the
router are set as Normal ports. However, you can set the 4/Uplink port to Uplink
and connect a the router to a hub. When you use a straight-through cable and set
port 4/Uplink to Uplink, you eliminate the need for a crossover cable.
To connect the router to a hub:
1.
Connect one end of the 10BASE-T LAN cable to the 4/Uplink port on the
front of the router and connect the other end to any Normal port on the
hub
