Placing and Receiving Voice Phone Calls
A telephone, answering machine, or fax machine connected to the router operates
in the same manner as if it were connected to a traditional telephone network.
Placing a Voice Call
After you dial a phone number, extension number, or speed dial number, you must
press the “#” key when you are finished dialing to let the router know that it
should begin dialing the number. If you do not press #, the router begins dialing
after three seconds.
To place a voice call through the router:
1.
Pick up the handset and wait for the dial tone.
2.
Dial the number followed by the “#” key.

SpeedDial Number
Enter a 1 to 8 digit number. You cannot enter a speed dial number that begins with
zero.
Name
Enter a name for the speed dial number. The speed dial number is identified by this
name in the directory.
Remote Phone
Number
Enter the remote phone number to be dialed.
Remote Phone Ext.
Enter the remote phone number extension to be dialed.
Note:
The router begins dialing after a three-second interval.
