Managing the Router
This chapter contains information about managing the BayStack 820 ISDN
Router, including:

Viewing the connection log.
•
Upgrading the router features and software.
•
Saving and clearing configuration changes.
•
Resetting the router.
•
Changing the password.
•
Customizing the BayStack 820 ISDN Router Manager interface.
•
Configuring general router settings.
To configure advanced IP settings, you must select Internet Access with
Advanced IP Configuration in the BayStack 820 ISDN Router Manager
Configuration dialog box. If you want to configure NetWare resources for remote
access or remote office connections, select Share NetWare (IPX) Resource. For
details, refer to
“Customizing the BayStack 820 ISDN Router Manager Interface”
on page 3-3
.
Viewing the Connection Log
The BayStack 820 ISDN Router provides a connection log that you can use to
track the telephone connections in and out of the router. For outgoing data calls,
these messages contain the IP address of the device that initiated the connection,
as well as the port number or application name.
