Contact for changing the room
temperature
An external contact function can be connected to SMO
10 to change the supply temperature and in doing so
change the room temperature, for example, a room
thermostat or a timer. The contact should be potential
free and is connected between terminals 3 and 4 on
terminal block (14) on the load monitor card (2).
When the contactor makes the flow temperature is
raised or lowered. The value for the change is set on
menu 2.5, Compensation. The value is adjustable
between 25 and +25. One step corresponds to one
degree of the calculated supply temperature.
Contact for activation of Extra hot water
An external contact function can be connected to SMO
10 for activation of the Temporary extra hot water func-
tion. The contact should be potential free and non-
locking and is connected via the edge board connector
between positions 1 and 2 down on the lower part of
the left connection row on the load monitor card (2).
When the contact makes for at least one second, the
Temporary Extra hot water function is activated. An
automatic return to the previously set function occurs
after 24 hours.
Alarm/alarm outputs
Alarms are shown on the third row of the display in
menu 1.0, where the alarm text alternates with the
menu text. In the event of an alarm, the background
lighting flashes too, irrespective of the menu.
Alarms can be received on the following occasions:
■
Low pressure pressostat (LP) in FIGHTER 2010 /
2005 has tripped. Indicated as “LP-ALARM (05)”.
SMO 10 switches to additional mode*.
■
High pressure pressostat (HP) in FIGHTER 2010 /
2005 has tripped. Indicated as “HP-ALARM (06)”.
SMO 10 switches to additional mode*.
■
Motor cut-out (MS) in FIGHTER 2010 / 2005 has
tripped. Indicated as “MS-ALARM (07)”. SMO 10
switches to additional mode*.
■
Sensor in FIGHTER 2010 / 2005 has stopped work-
ing. Indicated as “SENSOR ALARM (08)”. SMO 10
switches to additional mode*.
■
Communication error between SMO 10 and FIGHT-
ER 2010 / 2005 indicated as “COMM.-ALARM”.
SMO 10 switches to additional mode*.
External contacts
■
Temperature limiter (TB) has tripped. Indicated as
“TB-ALARM”. The compressor and immersion
heater are blocked, if auto mode is set this is dis-
connected and the operating mode is changed to
spring/autumn, (the circulation pump is opera-
tional). Only applies when TB is connected to termi-
nal block 11 positions 33 and 34.
■
The hot water sensor (VV) is indicated as “SEN-
SOR ALARM VV”. SMO 10 is force-run for heating
only and auto mode is connected.
■
Immersion sensor fault (EP) is indicated as “SEN-
SOR ALARM EP”. Immersion heater operation is
blocked, any set automatic operations are disabled
as the operating mode switches to spring/autumn.
■
Flow line sensor fault (FS1) is indicated as “SEN-
SOR ALARM VB”. SMO 10 is force-run for hot
water charging only, if auto mode is set this is dis-
connected and the operating mode is changed to
summer.
Common alarm can be received as illustrated in figure:
In the event of an alarm the relay
makes contact.
